Define preparation before buying materials
Square footage is only part of the estimate. Existing floor removal, surface condition, room shape and finishing details affect the work. Material quantities also need to allow for cuts and waste according to the layout and product. Send measurements and the selected flooring before buying transitions or underlayment; some products have an attached backing or specific installation requirements.
